Located within Ghand Shopping Center, Balout Café was conceived as an exploration of interaction, participation, and the social dimension of hospitality. The project draws on the compositional language of the De Stijl movement — geometry, color, and visual clarity as tools for organizing space.
The central concept was the removal of the symbolic fourth wall that separates the customer from the act of preparation. Preparation becomes performance, observation becomes participation, and the boundary between host and guest becomes fluid.
Within a compact footprint, color accents, exposed materials, and composed geometric elements establish a recognizable identity — a social platform where conversation and everyday rituals unfold directly.
